Jean Lafitte's blacksmith shop in New Orleans. It was a front for Lafitte to sell exotic items to the colonists and not have to claim that income on his taxes. The story goes that he found out six of his men were skimming money from him, so he fed all six of them into the hot coals of the blacksmith forge, feet first. He made the other men watch until it was their turn. It apparently took over 3 hours to burn each man to death.
