Field of bluebells and woodland: For any woodland owner, large or small, who may not have the time or feel they have the expertise to manage their woodlands, the following services are available: 1) Applications to the Forestry Commission’s English Woodland Grant Scheme (EWGS); 2) Felling licence applications to Forestry Commission; 3) Woodland inventory and mensuration; 4)Preparation and revision of woodland management plans.
Reclamation site: For land owners who are currently, or plan to, reclaim disturbed land for woodland establishment a complete service for the planning and preparation of tree planting following the initial land reclamation is available. This can include planting plans, planting grant applications to Forestry Commission and monitoring of plant establishment following planting.
Wharncliffe Trees and Woodlands Consultancy is owned by Ian Kennedy. Ian graduated from the University of Aberdeen in the late 1990s with a BSc (Hons) in Forestry with Arboriculture and Amenity Forestry and has worked in the care and management of trees and woodlands since then. This includes work with protected trees, trees in relation to development, visual tree hazard assessment and considerable experience of woodland management where multiple aims and objectives apply.
