I massage it in lightly so I don't irritate my skin, and when it starts to get dry I add a less abrasive scrub to my face, like St. Ives Timeless Skin Apricot Scrub. I like to use this when I haven't exfoliated my face in a while, but I wouldn't recommend using it more than twice a week.
