This image of a lone man standing in front military tanks has come to symbolize the atrocity that occurred at Tiananmen Square. This unidentified man epitomizes bravery. He stood up for something he strongly believed in. Standing up to people requires courage, standing in front of a military tank that could easily run you over demands bravery.
