Traditional Norwegian - Stabbur This traditional Norwegian building called "Stabbur" was used to store food. The two floors made it perfect for hanging meat from the ceiling in good distance from the claws of greedy animals. This particular building is set below "Slottsfjellet" in Tønsberg, Norway, where ruins from the Middle Ages are still to be seen. In 1888, a tower was erected for the city's 1000 year anniversary. The tower is open to the public and can be seen from far away.
