Explore Worktops Sapele, Sapele Entandrophragma and more!

Sapele (Entandrophragma cylindricum) is one of the most widely exported and economically important African wood species, commonly found in wide areas of Tropical Africa such as The Republic of Congo.

Because of its consistency and timbre sapele is widely used to create musical instruments such as electric and acoustic guitar bodies.

Our sapele worktops are one of the most affordable African hardwoods in our collection, starting at just £135 for a 2m x 620mm x 40mm worktop. They're an ideal alternative to more expensive timbers such as black American Walnut or wenge.

Visit our website to read our 'Nutshell' information guide, which covers everything about our sapele worktops. Each guide details the science, history, sourcing and manufacture of our wide range of timbers:

Whether you are choosing a surface for a contemporary or classic kitchen, sapele worktops are an ideal choice to bring a dash of colour to your kitchen. Consider complementing them with light-coloured cabinets and stainless steel accents for a clean, modern theme.
