Irene Dunne was a film actress who had an extremely successful Hollywood career and who was nominated five times during the 1930's and 1940's for the Best Actress Academy Award. She brought grace, beauty and vivacity to several of the finest romantic comedies of Hollywood’s Golden Age and combined great dramatic depth with excellent comic timing and a natural flair for the ridiculous.
