In Oaxaca they have several different traditions. The three main traditions they celebrate are Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead), The Guelaguetza (Festivals of the Mondays of the Hill), and Noche de los Rabanos (Night of the Radishes). Out of these events, the Night of the Radishes really caught my eye. This tradition happens on December 23rd annually. On this day, citizens of Oaxaca compete in a contest for the best Christmas scenes which are all carved out of radishes. #3B
