20 places every CA kid should see. I still have not done the Tram in Palm Springs. Sundial Bridge, Bumpass Hell in Lassen Park are both great.

Hiking Bumpass Hell: Lassen Volcanic National Park

Bumpass Hell is named after Kendall Vanhook Bumpass It is named Bumpass Hell because he actually fell in one of the steam geysers and ended up losing a leg. The area itself is a geothermal area that has many steam vents that expel steam and sulfur gases from the molten lava that is running 5 miles under this area and some of the water is so acidic it is like stomach acid. Some say this story is an urban legend. True or not, good story. Lassen Volcanic National Park
