Jesus carries the wounded sheep..sometimes He has to break us to teach us..but He carries us through. When the sheep gets let down from His shoulders, she follows closely..Follow the shepherd..there are lots of wolves out there. <3
The truth of how Jesus actually looked is probably very far from the images we're used to. For the dominant image of Jesus as a whitey, we have artists like Leonardo and Michelangelo to thank. A lot of the paintings of Jesus they made during the Renaissance became the "definitive" versions of his image, and they were just portraying him as a handsome Italian man, like everyone else in their paintings. Due to his being a Middle Eastern man, he'd have looked like this picture.
2nd Century Catacombs of the Messiah and his disciples...yes its true they were ALL black before being Europeanized. Before the Renaissance period all of the biblical icons all over the world depicting Jesus Christ was black. Jesus Christ IS the image of the invisible God Colossians 1:15. See Daniel 7:9 &10:6 and also Revelation 1:14-15 for the description of Jesus Christ the Son of God.
