June 10 full length by GungFace ...an enormous 15 metre tall baobab tree sculpture in Southbank, as part of the Festival of the World exhibition. Each ring is made by people and material from around the globe. I read up a little on its history - the baobab tree is the oldest living specimen in Africa, a symbol for meditation and community.

My mother-in-law, who is about 75, lives on a very normal street in Liverpool, England, that has dozens of row-houses just like this. They're all the normal brown brick you see all over -- except hers, which is a slightly rosier color of pink than the house in this picture. The whole thing. Top to bottom. Rosy pink. :)
