Lucky enough to be able to go through this, guided by the owner/builder/architect during Hobart Open House on 22 November. Located in Newtown Road it uses a minimum of space in every sense. Using a site once occupied by a boot-maker's shop, it has been transformed into an ultimate, compact 'edge of city' living space. Amazing.
In Sandy Bay, near Tasmania's capital Hobart, you’ll find Blinking Billy Lighthouse, an octagonal metal lighthouse with a red painted lantern cap. There are also searchlight bunkers at the point. In readiness for air raids, black out tests were conducted in 1941. Trams were stopped, cars pulled over to the side of the road and house lights were turned off, even lighthouse itself was switched off. #lighthouse #tasmania #discovertasmania Image Credit: Kathryn Leahy
