Edith Corse Evans. 1st class passenger on the Titanic who went to get a lifeboat with fellow passenger and friend Mrs. Brown. This was one of the last lifeboats to leave and was overcrowded, Edith got up to leave the lifeboat and told her friend Mrs. Brown she should stay as she had children at home. As she was leaving she said she would take a chance of getting in a boat later. She went down with the ship.
