Before the city of Los Angeles developed LAX, it’s next best thing was the Glendale airport (aka Glendale Municipal Airport, then later Grand Central Air Terminal) on the valley side of the Hollywood hills. This photo shows a Douglas DC-3 shining in the darkening night some time during the late 1930's - 40s.
DC-3...Keith said if our family gets any bigger, we will need one of these to haul us and all our stuff to fly-ins and camping. I take it as a challenge ;) MUST HAVE MORE BABIES AND DOGS TO FILL ONE!!!!
