The area around the Süleymaniye Mosque was amazing at night. A bit scary walking the deserted alleys in a foreign city, kinda haunting but at the same time really magical. Surreal lighting and Turkish flags hung vertically everywhere.
A night of wandering dark alleys in Istanbul let us to a bar filled with men playin’ Okey (Turkish tile game), smokin’ Nargile (Turkish water pipe), and watching’ O Ses Türkiye (The Voice Turkey). Pure gangsta livin’.
Better than a theme park? The Blue Mosque, Istanbul. A historical mosque with stunning architecture and amazing design details still operating today as a full functioning mosque with an education center and hospice. Walk inside and get lost in a different time, a different culture.
