Long before they were the St. Louis Rams, the Cleveland Rams took to the gridiron in the American Football League (AFL) in 1936. The Cleveland Rams joined the NFL in 1937, playing at Cleveland Municipal Stadium in 1937, 1939, 1940, 1941 and 1945. The Cleveland Rams also played games at League Park, the Rubber Bowl and Shaw Stadium during their Ohio tenure.
