"Larissa Dubecki's memoir is ostensibly about her 12-year ordeal working in the hospitality industry, but Prick with a Fork is also a survey of broader cultural trends. Her book is crammed with stories that are hilarious as long as you are not one of the fall guys. Dubecki, a former restaurant critic for The Age, doesn't mince her words; she slices them with sharpness of a chef's favourite knife. Her forte is not so much food, as biting, often brilliant satire." SMH

The Bedwetter - Sarah Silverman

The Bedwetter Stories of Courage, Redemption, and Pee (Book) : Silverman, Sarah : Comedian Silverman's memoir that mixes showbiz moments with the more serious subject of her teenage bout with depression as well as stories of her childhood and adolescence.

An incredible book and story. A true story, a girl, a family abused by the father... other people and especially the social workers and doctors looking away for over 15 years... the story of a girl who survived the abuse, brings her father in to jail and then takes on the healthboard. It is awful to read at parts and it made me soooo angry to read but it is also a great example of a strong amazing girl. !!
