Extinguish Hunger. It's the title of this CANstruction benefiting the North Texas Food Bank.  Personally, I was drawn to the metaphor of this CANstruction because hunger can be like a fighting a fire; hunger can strike indiscriminately but the devastation is minimized when a well-stocked and volunteer-supported food bank exists for the community.

In 2010, Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising created an evening gown structure for Orange County's Canstruction, titled “AdDRESSing Hunger,” designed by Graphic Design Student Breanne Cadabona.  It was created using nearly 8,000 canned goods including corn, peas, beans, carrots, and of course pink-labeled tuna cans. It won the People’s Choice and Honorable Mention Awards.
