Sweet and Salty Roasted Chickpeas  1 can (14 oz) chickpeas (garbanzo beans), drained  2 teaspoons olive oil  1 teaspoon cinnamon or your spice(s) of choice  1 1/2 teaspoons brown sugar  1/4 teaspoon salt  Place chickpeas on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or a Silpat.  Bake at 450 F for 30 minutes. Alida's Kitchen: Honey Roasted Chickpeas with Sea Salt {Garbanzo Beans}. What a great snack! Tastes like soy nuts, but without the estrogens. Made them tonight. Was low on honey so substituted agave nectar.

Spicy Roasted Chickpeas! Taste like peanuts, but not as fattening.  3 WW Points for 1/3 cup serving

Pre-heat oven to 400 degrees. 1 15.5 oz. can of Chickpeas 1 tsp. garlic powder. 1 tsp. onion powder. olive oil, for coating chickpeas. salt/pepper to taste. or other spices optional. Drain, rinse and pat dry the Chickpeas. In medium sized bowl, toss Chickpeas in olive oil Add spices/ salt & pepper. Spread out on a parchment lined sheet pan. place in over for 40-50 mins. stirring around the chickpeas every so often to ensure proper browning. Remove from over and let cool entirely before…

This is how I did it last night, but I may just put them in a bowl next time for seasoning so I don’t have the small spices on the cookie sheet as much which can burn easily.
