We already owned the first book in "A Series of Unfortunate Events," and at a yard sale on Friday we managed to pick up the next 10 for just a few bucks.

My favourite book of the year so far! Picture Me Gone by Meg Rosoff. Books, reading, YA.

Unmarked, by Kami Garcia (released Sep 30, 2014). Book two of the Legion series. Kennedy lives in a world where spirits kill, ghosts keep secrets, and a demon walks among us - a demon she accidentally set free. Now Kennedy and the other Legion members have to hunt him down. As they learn more about the history of the Legion and the Illuminati, Kennedy realizes that the greatest mystery of all does not belong to any secret order, but to her own family…

My rating: ★★★★ I dreaded finishing this book. I didn't want to series to end! The magic was real - not the cast a spell and poof kind of magic. There were consequences and limitations and the language of the elements were so unique and believable that I still catch myself listening to the wind, wondering where it's been and what secrets it would tell.
