A good tool to use for forage and grazing management would be a Grazing Stick. The University of Kentucky did a study using this method to determine pasture regrowth and readiness for grazing. I would need to keep good records if I were to utilize this method as well as have a greater understanding of how to properly measure grasses so I would feel confidant relying on it.
