A friend is one to whom you can pour out the contents of your heart, chaff and grain alike. Knowing that the gentlest of hands will take and sift it, keep what is worth keeping and with a breath of kindness, blow the rest away.
When I was in high school, we had 30 min for lunch. I would take mine and run a mile down the road and give it to a homeless man. I did this every other day until I graduated. He came to my graduation.<<<<this is so touching

I saw this man on the Metro this past Monday, and asked him who the flowers were for. They were for his wife. They& been married for 47 years. Every Monday, he brings her home flowers after work. My heart died at that moment. this old man. so cute!
