Sapphires became increasingly popular in the 1700’s, as they were seen as the jewels of Royals. Whilst Diamond solitaires will probably always be the most traditional engagement ring these days, we certainly love the idea and use of a Sapphire and Diamond cluster or trilogy ring, as the ring for a proposal.
