Set of 3 Spode Rose Briar Cream Soup Bowls -- Free Shipping!!

This is a beautiful set of 3 cream soup bowls by Spode in its Rose Briar pattern. Spode produced the Rose Briar Pattern from 1932-71. The pattern has a Chelsea wicker shape with an inner floral band of various colored roses. The soup bowls measure 1 3/4" tall, 4 3/4" in diameter and 6 3/4" from handle to handle. Their quality ranges from excellent to good. One bowl is in excellent condition. The ivory glazing is shiny and bright. The wicker embossments are clearly defined. The rose band is clear and crisp with no scratches or smears. There are no chips, cracks, crazing or utensil marks. The second bowl is almost as nice, but has a small darkish spot on its interior and crazing on its back only. The third bowl has some staining and crazing on both its front and back. None of these imperfections detract from the usability or display quality of the bowls. While not perfect, these cream soup bowls still have a lot of life left in them. They would be a great addition to your existing Spode Rose Briar collection. They'd also display well in any country cottage decor, bed & breakfast or tea room.
