Fish Hoek

The Duchess of Newcastle's kennels at Clumber Park taken in 1893 and showing the borzoi in residence. Built in 1891 to the Duchess's specifications, they housed over ninety dogs, though not all borzoi. One of the Mecca's of the breed in this country so many years ago.The runs have now gone but the kennels themselves are still there and in almost perfect condition - you could have dogs living in them within a couple of days, just need a bit of brushing out!
