329K likes, 790 comments. “Copycat tunacado but better! 🥪🤤 Recipe below 👇🏽 Ingredients: 300g/11oz canned tuna ½ cup + ¼ cup mayonnaise 1 tbs lemon juice 1 tbs yellow mustard ½ small red onion, finely diced ¼ cup cilantro/coriander, chopped 3 jalapeños, diced Salt and black pepper to taste 2 tbs yogurt 1 tbs honey Juice of ½ lime 2 tbs chipotle paste/gochujang/chilli paste Avocado, thinly sliced Tomato, thinly sliced Wholemeal pita Pesto Hot sauce Fresh dill Steps: 1. Drain the brine from the tuna and add to a bowl. 2. Add the ½ cup of mayonnaise, lemon juice, mustard, onion, cilantro/coriander, jalapeños, salt and pepper and mash with a fork or mix in a food processor for a more pasty consistency. 3. In a small bowl add the ¼ cup of mayonnaise, yogurt, honey, lime juice, chipotle/gochujang/chilli paste and mix. 4. Grill the bread in a panini press or toaster. You can also do it in a pan but be sure to use something to press it down and get it crispy on both sides. 5. Cut the bread open and spread pesto on both sides. 6. Spread a thin later of the tuna mixture on one side then spread more pesto on top of it. 7. Place a few avocado and tomato slices and drizzle hot sauce on top with some dill. 8. Spread some of the honey mayo mixture on the other side and close the sandwich. 9. Wrap in parchment paper and enjoy!”
