Edith Head
Rear Window costume design sketch

Head’s deigns played to Kelly’s strong suits, a small waist and petite shoulders and hid her lesser assets, namely her small chest.

This is the last of four vintage Edith Head sketches for actress Grace Kelly and the second costume design for "To Catch a Thief." This black and white ensemble was multi-purpose, but meant primarily for the beach. All four sketches came to auction together. I don't know the results, but the estimate was that each sketch would bring £6,000 – £8,000.
