This is a image by Pieter Hugo and is a part of "The Hyena Men". I included this in my inspiration as I feel there is a cohesive aesthetic that has been applied to all the images in the series which is something I really admire about this piece of work. With this image in particular I also like the subject matter in terms it has a child sitting on the back of this animal that is always portrayed as wild and dangerous.

This image was taken by Alec Soth and is part of his series "Niagara". I think it was important for the artist to include the cliche Niagara Falls in the series because it creates a front for the rest of the images to sit behind. Much like how Niagara falls is a front to all the cheap motels that are around.

This image is by Max Pinkers and is a part of his 2014 series "Will They Sing Like Raindrops or Leave Me Thirsty". I like the concept o this image in terms that the subject matter is a photograph on a wall yet the background in the frame matches the colour of the wall.

This image is by Max Pinkers and is a part of his 2014 series "Will They Sing Like Raindrops or Leave Me Thirsty". I like how throughout a lot of this series there is the common theme of blue and in this photo and one of the others I've included in the inspiration all the blue has come together. It is like when the couple is together all the colour comes together. There is something beautiful about seeing a genuine smile on their faces and the moment seems to be captured behind closed doors.

The aesthetic is really even throughout the image, which really brings out the men's character. I think this image has a really good place in a series about marriage for me it is like all the men are relaxing outside having a good time while the women are likely inside stressing.

This photograph is apart of Raphaela Rosella's series "You didn't take away my future. You gave me a new one". For me I really like how in this particular photo there is a child peering through the car window, and how a presumably pregnant teenager is in the car looking ahead while people surround the car. It looks like there are adults watching the car leave with the teenager which relates to the concept of the series about a teen mum being an outsider to society.

I like how with this series there is a common theme of cars in some of the images which helps make it a cohesive piece of work. I also think that you could not have had the series about the teen mums without having included a kid in the photo. There is also some kind of isolation about this photo which I do quite like and feel it sits well with the meaning.

This photograph is apart of Raphaela Rosella's series "You didn't take away my future. You gave me a new one". I like how with this image of the playground it wouldn't be a stretch to think that the mum is a babysitter or a sister to the child she is holding. I also quite like how even though a fair amount of the other images are dark, this one is actually quite bright which makes it have a really good place in the series.

This photograph is apart of Raphaela Rosella's series "You didn't take away my future. You gave me a new one". This series is about teenage mothers and their kids. Society always seems disappointed in teen mums yet this is a series that is for the mums telling their kids that despite what society says their children didn't stop the from having a future it just changed their future.

I really admire how with her portrait works you can see so much on he persons face, not one of the faces is a blank canvas each of them show a whole lot of emotion and character despite there not being a lot of background to add context.
