This set features highlights from the Museum's large collection of wedding fashion, accessories, ephemera and images and is drawn from the Museum's extensive holdings of Australian and international fashion and dress. The selection reflects changing styles and trends in wedding fashion in the context of the existing social, political and economic milieu.

Object No.2022/63/2 Dion Beasley is an Alywarr man, from Tennant Creek, who is a self-taught artist and illustrator who has published books, created designs for his clothing label and exhibited his works nationally. His father’s country is Owairtilla, also known as Canteen Creek, and his mother’s country is Alpurrurulam, also known as Lake Nash, in the Northern Territory, Australia. Country, daily life and his love of animals, particularly dogs, are the detailed focus of his work.
