Which quilt do you like?

The Seed Thief Quilt

In 2022 I designed a quilt for @quilterpatsloan fabric collection Birdsong for @benartex_fabrics. I named the pattern, ‘the seed stealers’ after the bossy rainbow lorikeets that frequent my bird feeders and steal the seed from the more timid birds. 🦜 The first quilt I used the vibrant colours of @sallykellyfabric floating on an aqua @artgalleryfabrics Pure Elements solid. 🧵 This latest version of the quilt combined my favourite dots and @riflepaperco fabrics which was made to test the pattern before release. Lounge quilt with remote pocket

After weeks of rain we have a week of sunny weather so a perfect opportunity to wash quilts. This quilt, made from brushed cottons, featured in Sweet Celebrations by @modabakeshop. It was a Father’s Day themed quilt equipped with a pocket for your feet at the back and a TV remote pocket at the front. It never made the lounge room. My oldest son claimed it for his bed

Paint Chip Challenge

The paint chip challenge. Members of the @brisbanemqg were given three paint chips and were asked to create a project using all three colours and a fourth colour of their choice. Loving the techniques of improv, appliqué, embroidery and hand guided quilting, I went to town with my selected palette. 🧵 On my last visit to Hobart, Tasmania, the lovely @jochandler_1 at @quarterinchtas helped me select the perfect @konacotton solids from their extensive collection.
