Exploring self identity and recognising facial features. Cut out eyes, nose, mouth etc which I gathered off google images and laminated. 2 mirrors used - one standing mirror for children to admire their reflection and another on the table to place the pieces and creat a face onto. Outcomes 1.1, 1.2, 3.1, 5.3

Teaching discovery and respect for natural environment with bug play. Repurposing tyre to create small world play. Leaves scattered on floor, logs for building and magnifying glasses to spy insect figures and develop inquiry.

Implementing respectful teach of the environmental. Bird nest study. Shelving contains branches, leaves, feathers, styrofoam eggs, porcelain realistic birds and feather boas. Children's construction skills are challenged as they manipulate materials to create a replica bird nest inside the tyre. Play is continued as children role play and investigate bird play.

Sensory play dough for children to explore and investigate their sense of touch and smell (and probably also taste). Plain play dough with no colours added and various spices added instead. Herbs picked from a garden displayed loosely with play dough. Outcome 3.2, 4.1

Identifying fruits and colours! Tree is made from cutting a pallet and painted. Cut out shapes of fruits on coloured card and wrote the colour on one side and the fruit name on the other. There is a basket to put all the fruit into after picking it. Outcome 3.2
