Peter H Russell "Correa Wilson and a view of Sydney from the North Shore c1822" 2010 Correa’s ancestor Ellen Ahern arrived in the colony with her mother and sister in 1823. Her father deliberately had himself arrested in order to join his wife and two daughters and they settled in the Picton area. The view in the background is based upon a drawing by Joseph Lycett from ‘Views in Australia or New South Wales & Van Demen’s Land delineated in fifty views” in the State Library's collecton.
