"The Brisbane Ekka, 1950" - Who doesn't like going to the Ekka. These kids here with their Showbags epitomise the excitement and eventual tiredness of walking back to the car or tram for the long trip home. I did this in watercolour.

"Belmont, Brisbane - 1965" - I was born here in Belmont in 1957 and I remember the old Coronation Milk Bar and their excellent Hamburgers and Milkshakes...I have fond memories of living here until I was 5 when the family moved to the Gold Coast. This is a pen and watercolour artwork (380 x 115mm). This artwork is for sale.

This is a pen and wash artwork I did of the Brisbane Trams at Carina in South Brisbane in 1965. I was born just around the corner of that corner store.

Repairing the roof of the Anglers Arms in Queen Street, Southport around 1960. It is a pity these old wooden pubs were knocked down and brick and glass replaced them...all their old world charm disappeared.

"Five Bikers - 1930". A pen and watercolour artwork depicting five young guys on their Indians? I love the fact there are no helmets and three of them are wearing singlets...ahh the good old days of motorcycling. Artwork is for sale.

The famous Currumbin Beach Store owned by Arthur Barker and built in 1919. The old car out the front obviously drew a crowd at the time. So I am guessing the original photo was taken around 1925-30.
