M. Ball & Co 'The Famous' Corner Store Swan and Church Streets, Richmond c1965 The diagonal corner of the building was originally less pronounced. In 1924 the corner was effectively trimmed back, so as to enable trams to turn left from Church Street into Swan Street. By the time this photograph was taken in the 1960s, the diagonal corner was used for advertising. This included advertising for the iconic Yakka overalls, as well signage for M.
