L-Theanine molecular structure
Studies show that L-theanine is able to cross the blood-brain barrier, and confirmed its ability to create a sense of relaxed and wakefulness. This is achieved primarily through its ability to directly increase alpha brain wave activity, associated with increased creativity, increased performance under stress, improved learning and concentration, as well as decreased anxiety. L-Theanine is also involved in the formation of the inhibitory neurotransmitter, gamma amino butyric acid (GABA).
Transience and Imperfection
“Things wabi-sabi have no need for the reassurance of status or the validation of market culture. They have no need for documentation of provenance. Wabi-sabi-ness in no way depends on knowledge of the creator's background or personality. In fact, it is best if the creator is no distinction, invisible, or anonymous.” ― Leonard Koren, Wabi-Sabi: For Artists, Designers, Poets & Philosophers
