A good way for beginners to start their first upcycled piece of furniture. After painting an old chest of drawers or even a wardrobe, a pretty vintage look is achieved by using a selection of lace patterns and painting over it like a stencil. 1. Before blow-drying damp hair, prime it with a conditioning spray to shield it from the drying effects of heated styling tools. 2. Separate dry hair into six sections. Then, one section at a time, curl small groupings of hair with a curling iron that's at least 1 inch in diameter. Roll the iron away from your face to create the perfect curl. 3. Let curls cool, then separate them with fingers. For added volume, use hands to shake up hair at the root.
