Tip Tuesday- don’t waste left over tomato paste, pesto or minced garlic!
Here I am using tomato paste - I place a tablespoon of tomato paste on a square of baking paper. I then add another piece of baking paper on top of the tomato paste. I keep layering this until all the tomato paste is used up. I then place the stack of tomato paste in a reusable container and freeze it. When I need some I just peel off the baking paper and grab the tomato paste. You can use this method for any product that is not runny. So, NO WASTE!

Tip Tuesday - Onions. Vicki will show you today how to cut your onions with none or just a few tears.
First, freeze you onion for 20-30mins,
Pour white vinegar on your chopping board, rub it in with paper towel. Wipe the knife you are going to use with the same paper towel. When you are finished with it just put it in your compost. Peel your onion, then slice it, making sure you hold the root end. There should be no tears. The onion can be frozen for later use or used in cooking. #soapshakinsisters #cuttingonionhack #cuttingoniontips #tiptuesday #soapshakinsisterstips #sustainableliving #reduceyourwaste
