DIY Mosquito Coil Holder
Summer nights are for relaxing on our verandah, not swatting mossies. Try this DIY mosquito coil holder, using items you have at home. You need - 🟢 An empty tin - the large fruit ones are good. 🟢 Tape or glue. 🟢 Mosquito Coil. When you open the tin, keep it attached and bend it, so it is straight. Attach coil holder with tape or glue. Place coil on stand and light when needed. Coils should be used outside and it appears the “jury is undecided” as to whether the ash can be placed in your compost. It depends on what the coil is made from, there are natural ones available, like @waxworksworks #sustainableliving #diyprojects #reducereuserecycle #soapshakinsisterstips #tiptuesday

Re using Gel in Ice Packs in the Garden.
Tip Tuesday - you can reuse the gel that come in gel ice packs on your garden or in pot plants to help retain water. Pot plants - you can mix the gel with soil in the bottom half of the pot. On the garden- dissolve the gel in a watering can or bucket, give it a good stir and water into your garden. Very easy. In some areas you can recycle the soft plastic the gel comes in, otherwise it has to go in your landfill bin. #tiptuesday #soapshakinsisters #reducewaste #reusegelicepacks #waterretention #waterretentioninthegarden #gelicepacks
