Eucalyptus veneering (eucalyptus spp.). The evergreen trees, or bushes respectively, are native to Australia, New Zealand, and Indonesia. In southern Europe and in the USA, they are cultivated commercially because they are a fast growing, good quality wood. The wood-grain structure used here is very rare. Characteristic is its missing dark core of the wood grain, since the grain of eucalyptus wood does not come about through ramification.

Veneers made of pyramids of khava wood. The striking pattern of this veneer made of African mahogany comes about using the forked branches and bifurcations. Khava is one of the oldest woods imported to Europe. The wood grows in Equatorial Guinea, the Ivory Coast, Gabon, Ghana, Cameroon, and Nigeria. A very similar type of wood, which is difficult to distinguish from khava, grows in Angola, the Congo, Liberia, Uganda, Zaire, and the Republic of Central Africa
