One of the best things about volunteering at St Kilda Mums is meeting all the amazing social workers - like Karryn and Marcellus from Salvation Army Sunshine Youth Housing - who held a fundraiser for us recently, raising $1545. They support young people aged 16 to 25 experiencing homelessness. Their team had a fun Friday where everybody had to wear the exact opposite of what they normally do.Others baked cakes and cookies. What could your team do? Check out this video...
On Thursday we had an all girl film crew in to shoot for channel 31. Kristi, Claudia, Tess, Hannah are all students at Australian Catholic University (ACU). Expect to see St Kilda Mums on a show called Walk a Mile in My Shoez in November. We are going to feature in the local Leader this week. They have already published this story online. Help us give cots to families in need. Read more about Cots for Tots 2016 here... http://goo.gl/zLziZJ
We are still buzzing after the very busy day yesterday with the team from Google. They helped us with email migration, setting up our You Tube channel, Google forms, our Google my Business page, AdWords, and file management and security (on Drive). Google encourage workplace volunteering for their staff and they have just opened a Melbourne office so if you work for a charity in Melbourne we recommend you reach out to them. They can help you do so much! Here is the ad they did last month
