The Australian summer always has a problems with flies especially in the bush. I take a insect mesh tent which keeps the bugs off any food you are preparing, it will cover 2 folding camp table-chair sets plus a camp stove and stand and your food etc, some have a sealed floor, I have both. You can cook, eat, drink & chat without being bothered by flies etc. Your out of the sun wind & rain by adding more tarps as needed.

This picture taken 4yrs later, the repaired section of road that gave way under our 4x4 can be seen on the left constructed from rock gabians. This one lane track became that dangerous and unstable for traffic it was later decided to find another route after the mid section gave way.

As darkness fell and all hopes started dwindled from several failed attemps, the second 4x4 finially escapes climbing out of the steep trail with both front wheels leaving the ground.

In this photo its very hard to get any sort of depth of field showing slope and condition of this road, but if you look at the trees slope it will give you an idea. These photo's were all taken in the day's of 35mm film camera's so you couldnt review your photo's or do a retake. hehehe

In Australia we have several types of freshwater crayfish, Tasmainia has the largest, weighing in at a whopping 30lb or 15kg, they are slow growing and noone seems to know how long they live. The next largest is the Murray River Cray and is identified by its large white claws, all crays have spiny shells and only live in fresh cold clear running water, they are protected by law and carry heavy penalties. This one shown here is compared to my son's size 15 foot.
