'Cadbury Creme Egg'. Milk chocolate with fondant filling which mimics the yolk of a real egg. Best-selling confectionery between New Year's & Easter in the UK. In the USA, the chocolate is made by Hersheys & not Cadbury, as they have local marketing rights. There is a difference in the taste of the chocy but both are yummy! Filled eggs were first manufactured by the Cadbury Brothers in 1923 but the current form was not introduced until 1963 & sold as Fry's Creme Eggs-- renamed in 1971.
