This 3rd-5th grade guided reading unit has been a long time coming, because it's taken my years to decide how I wanted to transform my reading instruction.

This is a choice board based on the Common Core State Standards for fifth grade regarding fractions. The choice board is made up of 9 boxes with 9 different activities. You could have they complete the board in a variety of ways: tic-tac-toe ( 3 in a row), a certain number, or a coverall.

Included in this FREEBIE is a fraction FlipBook for students. I give this to my students as a reference tool. Build this with your students in one day, have them place it into their math folders for quick reference in the future when they may get stuck or just need a visual representation of a fraction, a fraction number line, or a shaded fraction circle.
