It took me a long time to call myself “an artist.” I’m more comfortable now with the label, although it still feels like it doesn’t totally fit. I had to figure out who I am as an artist (a perpetual student/learner) and also to get comfortable with the judgement (self and societal) that comes as a result of embracing my nature.
