Visit www.AleksTrpkovski.com for more details - It was a cloudless autumn night last Saturday here in Melbourne. I went to the city scouting for a nice cityscape composition to photograph. I found this location near the Melbourne Exhibition Centre worked best for the photo I imagined. I love how the bridge is leading your eyes towards the Crowne Plaza Melbourne building and how its lights reflect into the water. The blue and orange complementary colours paired perfectly together and give you…

Visit www.AleksTrpkovski.com for more details - While the people in the Northern Hemisphere this time of the year are enjoying the nice warm weather surrounded by the colourfulness of the blossom trees, here in Melbourne the autumn with its golden leaves is slowly taking place. This photo was taken in the Alfred Nicholas Gardens which is a part of the Dandenong Ranges in Melbourne. This garden is known for the lovely autumn foliage on its trees as well as a small lake with its little…

Visit www.AleksTrpkovski.com for more details - I went on a trip to the Great Ocean Road last weekend, hoping I would get some good photos for sunset. Since the weather forecast showed a mostly cloudy and rainy day, I decided to visit some of the famous waterfalls there before I headed out to the sunset spot near The Twelve Apostles. As a good rule of thumb, overcast, rainy days work best for photographing waterfalls because you get much better colours and the green leaves really pop. Even…

Visis www.AleksTrpkovski.com for more details - Here is a photo that was taken on my trip to Norway the winter 2015/2016. Winter nights are long and dark in all of Norway, and where I stayed the days last for about 5 hours. The mist had already taken place in this small lake when I woke up that morning. I suddenly get my camera, changed to my zoom lens to and took the photo. I love how the sun creates a beautiful atmosphere and lighting the scenery from the back.
