Anzac Day 'The Poppy Project'

The ANZAC Poppy Art Project is a sculptural installation that saturated iconic Elephant Rock in handmade red poppies (of recycled bottles) as the Rock of Remembrance. Collaborating with SWELL, the Currumbin RSL commissioned artist Lynne Adams to work with local school students on this creative exchange. “The project offers a way to educate children about the casualties of war and to better understand the sacrifices made by those who served and still serve,” says Currumbin RSL CEO Anne Stovin.
