Lovely way to incorporate indigenous play into the classroom! These could be used for matching or prompts in literacy.

I first saw pendants made from washers in 2009 in Australia, painted by Aboriginal artists with their traditional dot patterns. Since then I've seen various takes on this craft. This is my version.

Using indigenous literature during NAIDOC week enhances the learning experience of both Indigenous and non Indigenous students where classrooms celebrate, learn and respect the history of Indigenous culture. According to the Melbourne Decaration students are to engage in learning that values Indigenous cultures and their contributions (MCEETYA, 2008)
