Day Five (a day late, sorry!): Memorial. This is my tattoo in memory of Ianto. It takes up a sizeable chunk of my shoulder blade

Day 15: Wave of Light. This was my contribution to the worldwide "Wave of Light", which happens annually on the 15th of October. The idea is that we all light candles at 7pm in our local time zones, so there's a continuous wave of candlelight across the world for 24 hours.

Day 14: Community. I joined BellyBelly.com.au while pregnant with Ianto, and that was the first place I went for support after he died. Since then, I have received a great deal of comfort and support from the fantastic people there.

Day ten: Symbol. Ianto's symbol has always been the rainbow. There was a huge storm the day of his funeral, which culminated in the biggest and brightest rainbow I'd ever seen as we were leaving his wake.

Capture your grief, day eight: Jewelry. I don't wear much jewelry at the moment, but this necklace never comes off. Scott bought me the chain with the blue heart for my 18th birthday, to match a ring he bought for our first anniversary as a couple. I added the kids' names, ordered from Etsy.

Capture Your Grief, Day 7: What to say.

Today's subject is a lot lighter than yesterday's. Today is about the things you should say to grieving parents.

Day four: Treasured Item. This bear was bought for us the week Ianto was born. It wears one of the hats we had on him (it was too small so we replaced it). The bear takes Ianto's place in family photos etc. and has even been on holiday with us!

Day three (sorry it's late): Self portrait after loss. I took this photo of myself and Ianto while still in hospital. I was trying to get him in it completely too, but it didn't quite work out. You can see how exhausted I was at this point, but I was too scared to sleep.

Day two: Pre-grief self portrait. This photo was taken after my makeup trial for my wedding. My hen's night was that night, and unbeknownst to me I had a little Ianto about to attach himself inside me. 8th August 2009.
