Do you use up Spinach stalks? Slice them up and use them as they are full of nutrition too! Put them in soups or stews, in oven bakes, omelettes or frittata or even fry them off. You can even use them in a batter with a fritter. Or add to a salad.
Do you make your own bread crumbs? This is a great way to use up old bread and even wilted herbs. We made a large bowl about half full of bread crumbs. Slowly we built up two bags in the freezer of left over rolls, stale bread and cut crusts. We also used a combination of wilted left over herbs, and fresh herbs and created our bread crumbs. Now they are back in the freezer in an airtight container ready for use when we need them. Easy!
