The Man from Snowy River - while those studying Lawson's short stories don't need to stay within the realm of 19th Century Australian Literature, it is interesting to examine the relationship between Banjo Paterson and Henry Lawson and how their contrasting perspectives on the Australian bush and the people that inhabit it have shaped their work. The imagery created in The Man from Snowy River makes an interesting contrast to that of The Drover's Wife.
